It’s remarkable how quickly a good and favorable wind can sweep away the maddening frustrations of shore living.

I am not a sailor but I love to watch the grace of a wind-powered boat and the skill and coordination of the crews who operate them. There is nothing better than climbing aboard a sailboat and watching the transition between the chug of the motor and the satisfying, peaceful flutter of the wind pushing the sails. This beauty caught my attention on one of our visits to Key West and it is one of my favorite photos.
