The Mighty Fort Jefferson

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.

Sun Tzu

The mighty Fort Jefferson was built as a strategic defense point and war fortress but never fired its guns. Today, the massive relic is the centerpiece of The Dry Tortugas National Park and is an awesome destination for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike. I was most impressed by the architecture and the idea that this remote place was built in the 1800s without modern-day construction tools!

Have you ever visited The Dry Tortugas National Park?
